Happy Birthday Mia!

We now have a big 6 year old in our household...Mia entered into another new year last week and we pray it will bring more fun and joy with each day. Now these are not the best pics b/c I took them on my phone - but you get the gist. We started off the day opening gifts and you might be able to tell she was just a little excited ;)

At school her class made her a birthday crown and she got to wear a special birthday ribbon. She loved that too!

She was spoiled with lots of hugs, calls and well wishes from family and friends...and finally got to top festivities off with a bowling birthday extravaganza...pics coming tonight!

Happy Birthday to our sweet girl!

Happy Birthday Morgan!

Morgan is 3! She is definitely all things that goes with three - silly, independent, curious, funny, loving...just so many things wrapped into one pistol of a little girl. She started her day off with a special breakfast with just her and daddy...shipley's of course! The celebration continued at school where she was very happy to share homemade sugar-free cupcakes (per school's request) with her friends...We wrapped up the day with dinner at chuck-e-cheese - whew was she pooped! She was smiling the whole day long...with minimal fussing only due to tiredness. Tomorrow is her party with friends at Build-a-bear - should be more fun! Happy Birthday to our sweet bundle of energy and love Morgan!

Sam is a ROCK STAR!

Sweet Sam had an awful accident last Thursday night. While playing outside with her sisters in our backyard the next door neighbor's dog was barking away, little Sam bent down to see what all the noise was and stuck her finger in the fence. Unfortunately, the dog bit off the tip of her finger. Thankfully my dear friend Rachel was there and took care of calling 911, calming down the girls and telling me how to wrap Sam's finger/keep it up while I was tending to Sam. She was truly a God-sent in the most traumatic situation! After hours at the ER, Sam was all stitched up and we came home. Since then, she's back to running around with her brightly pink bandaged hand as if nothing happened. I'm amazed at her resilience. Just look at her little smiling face...absolutely astonishing. Lord knows, I would not be so happy if put in the same situation. Sweet girl!
